Cairo – Mubasher: Total foreign-currency deposits at Egyptian banks declined by EGP 3.022 billion to EGP 714.631 billion in June, compared to EGP 717.653 billion in May, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Year-on-year, deposits denominated in foreign currencies retreated by 0.32% from EGP 716.958 billion in June 2018.
It is noteworthy that Egypt’s foreign exchange reserve registered $44.351 billion at the end of June, compared to $44.275 billion a month earlier.
