Foreign investment in Egypt’s T-bills rises to EGP 167bn in 6M - CBE

Cairo – Mubasher: Foreign investments in Egypt’s treasury bills (T-bills) rose to EGP 166.5 billion in the first half of 2017, from EGP 329 million from December 2015 and May 2016, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The CBE stated that foreign investments in T-bills reached EGP 176.6 billion in June 2017 from EGP 532 million in June 2016.

Total credit from T-bills amounted to EGP 858 billion in June 2017 from EGP 656.7 billion in the same month last year.
