Riyadh – Mubasher: French oil firm Total on Thursday revealed plans to inaugurate a large number of gasoline plants in Saudi Arabia during the coming period, chairman Patrick Pouyanné said.
Around 70% of Total’s employees in the oil-rich nation are Saudis, Pouyanné added on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF), currently being held in Davos, Switzerland.
In April 2018, state-owned Saudi Aramco and Total inked a deal worth $5.2 billion to build a large petrochemical complex in the Kingdom, in addition to eight contracts with a combined value of $12 billion.
In October, the two oil firms signed a deal to start the front-end engineering and design (FEED) business for a large petrochemical complex in Jubail Industrial City.
