Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Tarek Kabil, said Sunday that a French car manufacturer expressed a desire to establish an automotive assembly plant in Egypt.
During a meeting, the minister discussed the French company’s proposal to contract with Egyptian automotive components manufacturers to meet the needs of the mother company in France and its branches worldwide, according to a statement.
The statement didn’t mention the value of investments and the location of the planned plant.
The French firm earlier sent two delegations to Egypt in February and April to consider investment opportunities.
