Riyadh – Mubasher: The G20SaudiArabia Presidency is hosting on Wednesday the G20 Tourism Public-Private Sector event on accelerating the global recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
The world is set to lose over 120 million jobs and $1.2 trillion by 2020 year-end due to the collapse of the tourism industry globally, as per the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the G20 said on its official Twitter account.
In a bid to bolster public-private sector tangible cooperation, the G20 will engage private sector leaders in an event to support the tourism sector on its path towards an accelerated and sustainable recovery.
Currently, the kingdom's Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, is leading the aforementioned event, with the participation of G20 tourism ministers and more than 50 senior executive officials from the private sector.
