Cairo – Mubasher: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) on Thursday agreed to establish four investment zones in Suez and Luxor.
An investment zone specialised in small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) will be set up on a 744-acre land in Suez's Ataqah, minister of investment and international cooperation Sahar Nasr said in a statement.
This zone will include the industries of food, papers, electronics, construction materials, and wood, as well as services’ and fairs’ areas, Nasr added.
Two investment zones specialised in poultry production will be built on a 650-acre land in Esna and a 500-acre land in Armant in Luxor, she highlighted.
The GAFI is studying the establishment of an investment zone specialised in land restoration on a 4000-acre land in Armant in Luxor.
