GCC bourses likely to extend jittery performance – Analysts

By Mahmoud Gamal

Mubasher: GCC stock markets are forecast to keep delivering a volatile performance on Monday as traders are watching out for world and oil markets' trend as well as the two-day OPEC meeting that will start today in Algeria, analysts told Mubasher.

Market analysts Hamid Al-'Anqary and Ibrahim Al-Failakawi said equity markets are technically moving in a downward channel amid a lack of positive data that weaken liquidity levels.

"This instable mood is likely to continue over the coming period until the companies disclose the third quarter's financials and the new US president is elected",  Al-Failakawi indicated, noting that regional markets have become very sensitive to the performance of global and oil markets.

Traders are advised to adopt quick speculation to minimize the losses suffered over the past few sessions, Hamoud Al-Shammari concluded.
