Mubasher: The performance of the Gulf stock markets is expected to remain at low levels on Sunday in line with weak liquidity as well as anticipation for new catalysts after the financials season, analysts told Mubasher..
Investors trading in the GCC markets will be cautious as they await the disclosure of the first quarter’s income statements, capital market analyst Ahmad Aqel said, noting that regional markets are suffering a lack of catalysts in line with portfolios which tend to rearrange investment plans.
The trading session of Sunday and Monday are foreseen to test resistance levels amid expected rises ahead, the analyst noted.
He clarified that the stability of oil prices above $55 per barrel forms good assets for the GCC markets.
Aqel pinpointed that the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) is projected to see growth in foreign investments, as the second promotion of the FTSE Emerging Index approaches.
