GCC markets seen down on Tuesday – Analysts

Mubasher: The majority of Gulf stock markets are expected to continue the sideways downward performance on Tuesday, analysts told Mubasher.

Traders at the GCC markets, especially foreign investors, tend to liquidate blue chips-based purchasing positions created in the past sessions, pushed by oil prices which fell below $50 per barrel (pb), fund director Badr Fawwaz said.

Some of the local investors and institutions in emerging markets tended to perform selling transactions on Monday, capital market analyst Duaa Farouk said.

Stocks, of which companies have not yet announced the ordinary general meeting’s (OGM) results, are expected to see a higher number of purchasing transactions on Tuesday, capital market analyst Muhammad Al Anzi said.
