GCC markets seen to have less purchasing – analysts

By: Mahmoud Gamal

Mubasher: The anticipation of investors in the GCC markets for H1 financials announcements may reduce the purchasing and push indices toward further sideward performance, according to analysts.

Liquidity rates have decreased in line with external pressures such as the US interest rates, said analyst Ibrahim Al-Filkawy.

The markets are being traded below key resistance levels which cannot be broken due to weak liquidity, capital market analyst Bassel Abo-Teima noted.

Trading in the past period has been focusing more on Penny stocks, analyst Mohamamd Al-Shimiry said.

He expected trading on small caps to get weaker in the coming period as leading and operating companies continue to announce their financials.
