GCC markets seen wobbling as oil, world stocks retreat

Mubasher: GCC and Egypt stock markets are likely to maintain their current levels, as investors tend to exchange positions after oil prices and global equities pulled back yesterday, financial analysts said.

Most regional stocks are expected to give a mixed performance, in an attempt to keep their current levels unchanged in the coming two trading sessions, financial analyst Mahmoud Abu Zeid  told Mubasher.

Yesterday, the GCC markets saw a partial recovery due to a purchase tendency by foreign investors in particular, said financial expert Mohammed Al Shammari. However, the market liquidity condition is still unstable, which could be interpreted as an indicator of a volatile performance for regional stock markets during March, he added.

Wobbly mood is controlling the stock markets, as investors try to benefit from the current unstable conditions, said Waddah Al Taha, capital market expert.
