Riyadh-Mubasher: The GCC governments agreed to impose a unified tax of 50% on soft drinks and 100% on energy drinks and tobacco, first-hand sources told Saudi OKAZ newspaper.
The financial and economic cooperation committee will be authorised to complete the relevant requirements, in order to endorse the agreement in early 2017, the sources added.
