Mubasher: The GCC power grid linkage authority is finalizing studies for the second phase of the project, which includes the commercial operation, which is expected to take effect in two or three years, said Bahraini Energy Minister Abdul-Hussein Mirza.
The commercial phase will see the export of electricity from GCC states, the minister said, adding that, after commercial exchange of power between within the GCC, power linkage will be carried out across the Arab region, then comes linkage to Europe.
