Mubasher: Foreign investors are likely to show interest in some GCC and Egyptian stocks in spite of the sideways-to-downward trend that is expected to continue on Wednesday ahead of the US Fed decision on key interest rates.
Market analyst Ali Al-'Adi said foreign investors presently tend to build new positions on the stocks that have not seen significant rises previously and whose P/E ratios have ticked attractive marks, expecting regional markets to deliver a solid performance and good closings by the end of September.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Al-Ghamdi pointed out that the outlook for equity markets is still instable and foggy thanks to a number of reasons, including low liquidity levels, weak oil prices that near $45 per barrel as well as well speculation on higher US interest rates and stronger US dollar, which will have a negative influence on the Arab markets.
Investors are therefore advised to cautiously and limitedly carry out transactions until the market's general trend is determined.
