GCC trade exchange rises to $124bn

UAE-Mubasher: GCC trade exchange increased from $15 billion in 2002 to $124 billion in 2014, according to a recent report by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The decision to establish the GCC Customs Union in 2003 remarkably boosted the trade exchange, the report stated.

Some regulations and policies were adopted to facilitate the trade exchange between GCC members and activate the role of private sector in developing the GCC exports.
