GEA to add SAR 500bn to Saudi GNI by 2030 - CEO

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) plans to create 200,000 jobs and increase the gross national income (GNI) by SAR 500 billion by 2030, said GEA’s CEO Hatim Samman.

The GEA is currently working on four main aspects and 15 strategic goals to achieve the Saudi government’s aspirations in producing high quality, affordable and accessible entertainment products, the top official added, according to Makkah newspaper.

Speaking at the Jeddah Tourism and Entertainment Forum, Samman presented a roadmap for the Saudi entertainment industry, stressing the need for establishing an integrated system for entertainment services in the entire kingdom, the newspaper revealed.

The GEA has studied entertainment services offered across 14 cities and compared them to each other to select the best options to be applied in the Saudi Arabia, GEA’s CEO concluded.
