Mubasher: GEMS Education KSA, a joint venture company owned by the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) and the UAE-headquartered GEMS Education, has recently finalised its acquisition of Ma’arif Education and Training Company, according to a recent press release.
Established in 1971 in Saudi Arabia, Ma’arif private schools have over 40 years of demonstrated history in school management, over 13 campuses across the kingdom, in addition to more than 20,000 students enrolled.
The combination of GEMS experience and the commitment of the new stakeholders to improve the private education sector in KSA along with Ma’arif’s long-standing reputation for high quality education will further parallel with the Saudi 2030 Vision.
Chairman of the joint venture company GEMS Education KSA Saad Alfadly commented, “We look forward to working with teachers, students and parents who are currently enrolled in Ma’arif schools and we are excited about welcoming new families.”
Meanwhile, Maarif Education’s CEO Mohamed Al Arfaj remarked, “We are excited about this partnership, as it is unprecedented in the region, to contribute to raising the quality of education within the Kingdom, and raise the share of Ma’arif for Education in the private education sector in the kingdom. We look forward to many successes ahead.”
