Dubai – Mubasher: Gulf Livestock 2 of Gulf Navigation Holding (GNH) has inked a five-year bareboat charter contract worth $5.5 million (AED 20 million) in net proceeds with Mira International Shipping, a leader in livestock transportation.
With a capacity of transporting 6,500 cattle, Gulf Livestock 2 secured the contract after undergoing extensive maintenance work and setting sail, according to a press release on Sunday.
The vessel's employment is expected to improve the company's liquidity, increase revenues, and raise profitability for the upcoming years.
It is noteworthy to mention that in mid-February, GNH entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Empire Navigation (ENI), a Greek company, to acquire a group of petrochemical and dry bulk carriers.
