General Motors pens MoU with Careem

UAE – Mubasher: Careem, the leading online platform in the Middle East, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with General Motors Africa and Middle East (GM) in order to provide an opportunity to support car ownership for their Captains, Careem said in a statement.

Under the deal, Careem captains will get discounted rates on any of GM vehicles including Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac models, starting from AED 59 per day, including service, maintenance support, and an extended warranty.

Moreover, Careem captains can fully own their car after 3 years.

Signing the deal comes in line with Careem Fleet Solutions, a division set up to support Careem Captains become self-employed vehicle owners.

“We are happy to finalise this agreement with General Motors which we believe will greatly benefit our Captains. We at Careem care deeply about the well-being and happiness of our captains, and always endeavour to find ways to support them both in and out of the workplace,” Bassel Al Nahlaoui, managing director of Careem Gulf, said.

It is worth noting that Careem is currently operating in over 120 cities in 15 countries across the wider Middle East region.
