Cairo – Mubasher: General Motors affirmed on Thursday it will resume operations in Egypt on Sunday.
The company affirms its confidence in the Egyptian promising economy since it came on stream in early 1983, GM said, adding that it was among the earliest companies that built plants in Sixth of October City's industrial zone.
It was reported earlier that GM halted its operations in Egypt due to its inability to source dollars amid the country's currency crisis.
GM's Egypt operation includes assembling trucks and cars.
