German Fund mulls pumping $40m loans in Egypt

Cairo- Mubasher: Sanad Fund for MSME is currently considering injecting loans worth $40 million into Egypt-based banks and financing-leasing companies in the second half of 2019, according to the Regional Head of Finance in Motion’s Cairo office and Advisor for Sanad Fund and Green for Growth Fund (GGF) Mohamed Morsy.

Germany’s Sanad Fund has injected loans worth $50 million in the first half of 2019, Mohamed Morsy told Mubasher in a phone call.

These credit facilities were injected into two banks, two finance-leasing companies, as well as two microfinance firms, Morsy pointed out.

Noteworthy, Sanad Fund aims to increase its finances to Egypt from $170 million currently to over $200 million in 2019.
