Cairo – Mubasher: Germany’s Lufthansa resumed flights to Cairo on Sunday following a one-day suspension, Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, citing an official at Cairo International Airport.
After a two-hour delay, Lufthansa Flight LH582 took off from Frankfurt and arrived at Cairo International Airport Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, British Airways (BA) and Lufthansa decided to suspend their flights to Cairo for seven days over security concerns.
British Airways attributed the suspension to constant review of security arrangements at all airports
In addition, the British ambassador to Egypt, Geoffrey Adams, apologised for not informing the Egyptian authorities of the suspension beforehand.
