Global Lease eyes EGP 600m hike in financing portfolio in H2

Cairo – Mubasher: Global Lease is looking to boost its financing portfolio by EGP 600 million to EGP 2.5 billion by the end of this year.

The Egyptian company’s small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) represented about 40% of its total financings during the first half of 2018, CEO Hatem Samir said in a phone interview with Mubasher.

The leasing fund has provided EGP 800 million in funds during H1-18, Samir revealed.

The current shareholders of Global Lease are Goldman Egypt with a 60% stake, the SANAD Fund, which holds a 30% stake in the firm, and the company's CEO and managing director, who own 10% of the shares.
