Mubasher: Gold prices rose on Thursday to their highest level since two weeks, extending gains for the third session in a row.
Spot gold levelled up 0.5% to $1,148 per ounce by 04:05am GMT.
US gold futures rose 0.78% or $8.9 to $1,149 an ounce.
Technical analyst, Mohamed Ragheb, told Mubasher that the rise in gold is mainly attributed to a recovery in demand by major countries, topped by China and Russia.
The US dollar index fell 0.27% to 102.98 points against a basket of currencies.
