Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading in the green, backed by the growth of five sectors.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index grew 20.38 points, or 0.23%, to 8,976.07 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 25.2 million after 885,500 shares changed hands through 376 transactions.
The goods sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.19% as Mannai rose 1.77%, while the industrial sector levelled up 0.70% on the back of Mesaieed’s 1.70% increase.
On the negative side, the banking sector was the bourse only decliner falling 0.19% as Qatar First Bank went down 0.65%.
Mesaieed’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 255,300 shares, while Qatar Fuel’s stock, which advanced 1.70%, headed the bourse in terms of liquidity with QAR 8.9 million.
