Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in the green, exceeding 9,000 points, supported by the growth of three sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.02% to 9,001.42 points, adding 1.50 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 271.9 million after 765,900 shares changed hands through 378 transactions.
The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.55% as Qatar Fuel (Woqod) rose 1.08%.
Similarly, the banking sector inched up 0.04% after Islamic Holding Group added 0.04%.
On the flipside, the transportation sector was the bourse’s only loser falling 0.02% as Qatar Navigation inched down 0.07%.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which levelled up 0.62%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 328,400 shares, while Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which rose 0.06%, topped the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 14.9 million.
