Gov’t implements EGP 3.2bn wastewater projects in Alexandria

Cairo – Mubasher: A total of nine wastewater projects are being implemented in Alexandria at a combined cost of EGP 3.179 billion, head of Egypt's Central Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPWW) Hassan El-Far said.

At a total capacity of around 73,000 cubic metres per day, the projects will serve nearly 460,000 people living in the coastal city, El-Far added.

Wastewater projects serve about 92% of the total population in Alexandria, chairman and managing director of Alexandria Sanitary and Drainage Company (ASDCO) said.
