Grand Egyptian Museum to open by 2018-end

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of Antiquities said that the ministry has obtained EGP 155 million to finance the project to develop the Giza Pyramids Plateau.

The project’s total cost is estimated at EGP 400 million, and the ministry will be trying to get the remaining funds, Khaled El-Anany added in front of the Egyptian parliament committee for tourism and civil aviation.

El-Anany also revealed that the first phase of the new Grand Egyptian Museum is set to open by the end of next year, noting that the Armed Forces Engineering Authority is set to complete the Pyramids Plateau renovation project by mid-2018.
