Gulf International says drilling unit to maintain operating activities

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s Gulf International Services Company said Sunday that its subsidiary Gulf Drilling International (GDI) is seeking to maintain the level of its operating activities.

The Qatar listed company added that GDI is now taking more effective measures to keep the same utilisation rate of its assets despite the fall in global demand on drilling services and the drop in oil prices, according to a bourse filing.

“In the frame of GDI’s efforts to address the effects of the lower operating prices, the company has put a fixable mechanism that connects operating prices to crude oil prices,” Gulf International said.
