Dubai – Mubasher: Gulf Navigation Holding has no current operations in Qatar, stated CEO Khamis Juma Khamis Buamim on Monday.
Buamim declared that most of his company’s work is focused in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the Gulf of Oman, the US, East Asia and Japan.
The Emirati company is completely committed to any political and economic decisions taken by the UAE government, Buamim added.
On 5 June, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt announced cutting diplomatic ties with Doha. They later gave Qatar a period of 10 days to comply with their demands, including the closing of Al-Jazeera network and scaling back cooperation with Iran.
The period was extended to additional 48 hours as Qatar was unresponsive during the 10-day timeframe. Doha later responded saying that the demands were “unrealistic and inapplicable”.
