HD standalone profits rise 23% in Q2

Cairo – Mubasher: Housing and Development Bank’s (HD) net profit for the second quarter rose 22.9% year-on-year to EGP 177 million ($19.9 million) from EGP 144 million ($16.2 million), according to the standalone results.  

Over the first six months, the company earned EGP 395 million compared to EGP 322 million for the year-ago period.

In the first quarter, unconsolidated net profit grew 22.5% year-on-year to EGP 218 million from EGP 178 million.

The stock quote rose 0.7% to EGP 16.41 after 8,000 shares were traded at EGP 131,450 by 11:00am Cairo time on Monday.
