Cairo – Mubasher: Housing and Development Bank (HDB) on Wednesday reported a 56.8% year-on-year surge in standalone profits for the first nine of 2018, recording EGP 1.39 billion from EGP 888 million.
Revenues grew to EGP 4.6 billion at the end of September, from EGP 2.9 billion in the prior-year period, the lender said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
HDB previously posted standalone profits of EGP 992.57 for the first half of 2018, versus EGP 599.3 million in H1-17.
The bank’s revenues increased to EGP 3.1 billion during the six-month period ended June, from EGP 1.7 billion in the year-ago period.
