Mubasher: Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Company (HEISCO) has signed two contracts with the main contractor of Al-Zour oil refinery, for the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC).
The agreement has a value of KWD 39.6 million ($131.9 million), and it will be carried out over 26 months.
KIPIC announced on Saturday that work on is progressing on the refinery as planned.
The company has formed a team to ensure that construction of the oil refinery is completed in a timely manner, according to a statement.
The refinery has a capacity of an additional 615,000 barrels per day of crude oil, the statement noted.
