HP sees $660m profits in Q4-17

Mubasher: HP Inc.’s profits increased year-on-year to reach $660 million in the fourth quarter of 2017, compared to $492 million.

The company’s revenues grew to $13.93 billion in Q4-17, from $12.5 billion Q4-16.

“The results give us confidence in the trajectory of our business,” Bloomberg reported, citing the CEO, Dion Weisler as saying.

“We feel good about the investment choices that are ahead of us. We believe that we can create significant value,” Weisler added.

“The rapid growth rate of the past year may be hard to maintain. “The compares are tougher, we know that,” Catherine Lesjak, the CFO stated.

“While HP Inc.’s total costs rose about 10 percent in the quarter, the increase was proportionately smaller than the jump in sales. The spending is spread across R and D, marketing and field-selling costs,” Lesjak added.
