Cairo – Mubasher: HSBC – Egypt said it raised the monthly limits of the use of its credit cards abroad starting from 18 December 2016.
The lender MasterCard Premier Credit Card spending limit was changed to EGP 50,000, the MasterCard Advance Credit Card to EGP 25,000, the Visa Platinum card to EGP 25,000 and the Visa Gold/ Classic Credit Card to EGP 10,000.
Moreover, monthly cash withdrawal limit is set at $300 for both debit and credit cards.
Banks operating in the local market have begun to ease restrictions set earlier on Egyptians’ use of US dollars abroad through cash and electronic payment cards.
