Doha – Mubasher: Passenger traffic at Qatar’s Hamad International Airport (HIA) rose 8% in the first half of 2017, while cargo handling increased 19%, according to a statement by the airport.
The number of passengers who were served by HIA stood at 19 million in H1-17, while the volume of handled cargo stood at 980,000 tonnes in the same half.
In May, the Qatari Civil Aviation Authority announced that passenger traffic in April soared 144% on an annual basis.
