Riyadh - Mubasher: The haramain high-speed rail project will officially launch early next year, Makkah Region announced on Friday.
Trail operations, without passengers, will begin in December.
The distance will be around 450 kilometres, with a speed of 300 kilometres per hour.
It is worth noting that the Makkah-Medina high-speed railway will pass by Jeddah City.
Ticket prices are still under study and will be determined before the official launch.
