Hassan Allam, Abdul Latif Jameel partner to develop Egypt’s water projects

Cairo – Mubasher: Hassan Allam Holding (HAH) has teamed up with Abdul Latif Jameel (Energy) to develop water and wastewater management projects in Egypt.

To this end, the two entities have formed a joint venture (JV) through the companies’ respective subsidiaries HA Utilities (HAU) and Almar Water Solutions, the Cairo-based construction and engineering group said in a statement.

The JV will work on developing water BOT and BOO projects in Egypt, with an active role as both a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) investor and an Operation and Maintenance (O&M) supplier.

The new body will also explore acquisitions of brownfield assets and O&M service companies in a bid to speed up recurring revenue generation, HAH noted.

The JV is considering a raft of greenfield projects of different sizes with various offtakers, the statement added.
