Hill international mulls expansion in Saudi Arabia in 2019

Riyadh – Mubasher: The US-based Hill International has revealed plans to boost its presence in Saudi Arabia in 2019, along with providing new job opportunities as part of its international growth strategy.

The global leader in managing construction risk aims to expand in the oil-rich kingdom which sees a raft of megaprojects, especially the Red Sea and NEOM projects that Hill international plans to invest in, the firm’s senior vice president Imad Ghantous, told Construction Week Online on Tuesday.

Hill International is currently investing in Riyadh Metro project by providing construction supervision, construction management, and project management services.

The US firm also plans to pump more liquidity in the GCC nation’s aviation and real estate projects in the near future.

“There are many ministries in Saudi Arabia and therefore, there are many project management offices (PMOs) coming up, so it aligns very favourably with what we do. This is why we are targeting Saudi Arabia,” Ghantous said.

The official further noted that his company is looking to increase sales rate in the Middle East over the coming period.

The US-based firm started business in the Middle East region since more than 30 years, while it is currently having operations in a raft of regional projects, including Muscat International Airport.

Hill International also mulls raising investments in rail projects and other sectors in the Middle East.
