Hilton Jabal Omar officially launches

Riyadh - Decypha: Hilton Hotel Jabal Omar has officially commenced commercial operations.

Operated by Jabal Omar Development Company, the hotel will encompass the biggest conventions and meetings center in the country which includes eight meeting rooms, and will spread over an area of 3,500 square meters, accommodating 1,500 individuals, the company announced in a press release.

The hotel will include a 1,650-square meters events hall, in addition to a hall that can accommodate up to 300 individuals.

The 764-room hotel, which can be a destination for pilgrims or business purposes, has 689 deluxe rooms, 24 executive rooms, 25 junior suites, 14 executive suites and two royal suites.

Additionally, Hilton Jabal Omar has a 120-individual executive hall in the upper floor, which can be used for business purposes.

Dining areas in the hotel vary between the main restaurant that can carry 800 restaurants, a 150-individual Indian and Malaysian restaurant and a 150-individual Lebanese restaurant.

Earlier this month the company has reached a an agreement with Alinma Investment Company for the sale of its key assets in Mecca including this hotel, two others, and a shopping mall for SR 6 billion ($1.59 billion).

Jabal Omar Development is the largest listed real estate group in Saudi Arabia by market capitalization.
