Honeywell to showcase game-changing technologies at Cairo ICT 2019

Cairo – Mubasher: US-based Honeywell is to showcase cutting-edge Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies that can support Egypt’s plans to build smart, connected, and more efficient cities at Cairo ICT 2019.

Held on 1-4 December under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Cairo ICT 2019 will shed light on Egypt’s ambition to integrate advanced technologies into key sectors in its economy.

“As leaders in this field, we are pleased to be implementing cutting-edge technologies for the New Administrative Capital in Egypt, one of the world’s largest smart city projects,” Honeywell’s president, Egypt and Libya, Khaled Hashem commented, according to a statement released on Thursday.

The New Administrative Capital is a fourth-generation smart city built in three phases 45 kilometres east of Cairo. The project will boost the Egyptian economy’s competitiveness and diversity, realising some objectives outlined by the North African country’s Vision 2030.

“Honeywell is deploying city-wide security and surveillance systems as part of the first phase of development, in collaboration with its partner MTI, to integrate security systems across the capital into a single point of control, known as an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC),” the global technology company said.
