Housing ministry to execute EGP 5.7bn projects in Sinai

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Central Agency for Reconstruction will undertake a raft of development and service projects in the governorates of Sinai with EGP 5.72 billion in investments, the housing minister said in a statement on Thursday.

These investments involve road and housing projects as well as the full-fledged development of bedouin communities, Assem El Gazzar said.

The projects will also comprise plans to develop slums, upgrade services, the lighting of bedouin villages, and establish new ones, El Gazzar highlighted.

The projects are part of efforts to improve services provided to citizens, develop remote bedouin villages and communities, reconstruct Sinai desert, and optimally use the available resources, he noted, adding that this will in return improve living standards.
