UAE – Mubasher: Hub71, a tech ecosystem run by Mubadala Investment Company, has signed a partnership agreement with TechWadi, a non-profit organisation based in Silicon Valley in the US, to support Abu Dhabi to become a global tech ecosystem.
The partnership with TechWadi, which connects entrepreneurs and investors in the MENA region with Silicon Valley, will give startups opportunities for cross-border knowledge sharing and investment deal flow.
The US startups and venture capitals will also have access to Hub71's ecosystem and incentive programme.
At the same time, Hub71 startups will benefit from the US-based VCs in TechWadi network, including Google Venture, 500Startups, and Silicon Valley Bank.
TechWadi will also host a TechWadi US-Investor Pitch Day for selected Hub71 startups who will compete for US-based VCs and investors.
Commenting on the partnership, the Head of Partnerships and Business Development of Hub71, Nader Museitif, said: "Our partnership with TechWadi creates value for both our international communities of founders as well as any US startups looking for growth opportunities in the Middle East."
