Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian supermarket chain, HyperOne, has inaugurated a new branch in New Sphinx City with investments of EGP 650 million.
The new branch covers an area of 50,000 square metres (sqm) with a retail area of 10,000 sqm and a storage area of 48,000 sqm, the supermarket chain’s Chairman, Mohamed El-Hawary, said in a statement released by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade on Sunday.
In addition, there is also a parking area of 30,000 sqm that can accommodate 1,200 cars.
The new branch creates 1,100 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs, El-Hawary added, noting that entertainment facilities, restaurants, a food court, and banks will be inaugurated with the launch of the second phase of the project before the end of 2020.
