IHG, Kingston Holdings ink new hotel deal in Dubai

Dubai - Mubasher:  Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) on Monday signed a management agreement with Kingston Holdings International Limited to establish a new Holiday Inn and Suites in Dubai Business Bay.

Slated for inauguration in 2021, the new Holiday Inn and Suites Dubai Business Bay will be located in the centre of the emirate’s commercial and lifestyle hub, according to a statement by IHG.

The hotel will comprise 350 rooms, two restaurants, and a ballroom in addition to one floor of meeting rooms, and “will form part of a mixed-use development that includes 400 residences and a small boutique shopping arcade,” IHG added.

“We are delighted to have this opportunity to partner with Kingston Holdings International Limited to further expand our presence in Dubai,” said Pascal Gauvin, IHG’s chief operating officer (COO) for India, Middle East and Africa. 

“Business Bay is the fastest growing district in Dubai and this signing is in line with our strategy to grow the well-recognized Holiday Inn brand in emerging epicentres,” he added.

IHG has several other projects in Dubai’s Business Bay including Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, and InterContinental Residences.

In the Middle East, IHG’s portfolio encompasses 80 hotels under five brands.
