IMF approves long-term loan for Tunisia

Mubasher: International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a $2.8 billion loan to Tunisia, according to an official report.

An amount equivalent to $319.5 million is available for immediate disbursement, while the rest will be phased in over the duration of the program, subject to eight program reviews.

The 4-year loan program aims to help the country implement economic and financial reforms, as well as promoting stronger economic growth, reforming public institution and creating jobs.
