IMF chief praises Egypt’s economic reforms

Cairo – Mubasher: The International Monetary Fund’s managing director Christian Lagarde applauded Egypt’s efforts to apply a bunch of economic reforms yesterday, according to a press release.

The presidential spokesman revealed that the IMF managing director and President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi had met on the sidelines of the G20 summit in China.

Both parties discussed the staff-level agreement over a three-year facility worth $12 billion, pending the approval of the fund's executive board in the coming weeks
