ISX closes Monday in red

Mubasher: The Iraq Exchange (ISX) ended Monday’s trading session losing 1% or 5.64 points, closing a the level of 555.68 points.

The main index was dragged down by the majority of the stocks, with Middle East Investment Bank leading the session's decliners and dropping 8.82%, followed by United Bank which lost 8.7%.

Meanwhile, Baghdad Bank fell 3.75%, and registered both the highest traded volume and value, with 339.13 million shares being exchanged at a turnover of IQD 309.54 million.

Only 2 stocks ended the session in a rise, with Mosul Bank adding 5.26%, and Iraqi Islamic Bank which gained 2.08%.

Total traded volume increased today to 895.06 million shares from 268.01 million shares in the last session. Total turnover also grew to IQD 687.39 million, compared to IQD 276.57 million on Sunday.
