ISX rises Tuesday on banks and hotels gains

Mubasher: The Iraq Exchange (ISX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, on the back of banks and hotels stocks, after closing Monday in red.

The main index gained 0.03% or 0.04 points, closing at the level of 555.82 points.

United Bank led the session’s gainers and added 4.7%, while Middle East Investment Bank gained 3.23%.

Meanwhile, Baghdad Bank was the most active in terms of both traded volume and value, with 169.3 million shares being exchanged at a turnover of nearly IQD 131 million.

Al-Hilal industrial was today’s biggest loser, after dropping 3.75%.

Total traded volume decreased today to 595.65 million shares from 895.06 million shares in the last session. Total turnover also shrunk to IQD 412.63 million, compared to IQD 687.39 million on Monday.
