ITIDA to hold its first shared services forum in Egypt in September

Cairo – Mubasher: Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the IT arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, will host its first-ever Shared Services and Outsourcing Forum Middle East 2019 in Egypt between 3-4 September, in partnership with the Shared Services and Outsourcing Network (SSON).

The forum, which will bring together key industry experts to discuss outsourcing business models, will foster Egypt’s position as a shared services and outsourcing hub in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), according to a statement on Thursday.

The two-day event will “showcase how Egypt has evolved from a cost-competitive and traditional outsourcing location into a hub for high end and value-driven services,” CEO of ITIDA, Hala El-Gohary, said.

Egypt’s offshore global service industry has doubled over the last five years thanks to the country’s “unique geographical position together with its attractive value proposition,” the statement added.

Top participants at the forum include Xceed, Teleperformance Egypt, Raya Contact Center, Deloitte, and BDO Esnad.
